Adwords Tip of The Day: Narrow and focused ad groups. Each group containing a variation of a single keyword. 80-20 Rule applies.

Ad groups will help you drive your CPC down as you become more relevant. If you go “narrow” instead of wide with your ad groups you will increase your CTR. Within 7 days of testing a new group of keywords you will clearly see which keywords and ads are the performs. This is where the 80-20 rule comes in. 80% of your targeted traffic will come from 20% of your keywords. Start wide and end up narrow.
