Adwords Tip of The Day: Select keywords that do not cost more than they are converting.
In this hyper-competitive world we live in, there are many advertisers bidding on the same keywords. For this reason, we see higher minimum bid prices for keywords that in most cases will not convert well for you. Focus on targeted key phrases and broad match keywords that your potential customer may use to search on. (ex1: dog food) is a general key phrase that the most competitive advertisers are using. Why would you want to enter into a bidding war with larger companies that have much more to spend than you do? (ex2: organic dog food products) is more targeted and will cost less as the pool of advertisers will be non existent or significantly lower than ex #1. Its all about knowing your products and/or services and also knowing what your customers will use to find you.
