80-20 Rule … 80% of your traffic is going to come from 20% of your keywords. By tracking which keywords are converting (and split testing till your blue in the face), you will find out which 20% need to be applied against highly targeted landing pages. These pages are designed and developed to convert.

Most keywords will bring floods of traffic. But …. what good is that traffic if the conversion is not made. Tracking the performance of individual keywords will give you the facts on help show you where to put your investment dollars.

Wasting time on keywords that are not performing is like giving your money to Google. They have enough, don’t give them any more.
